a quick update from our B and B ... i am on the house computer so i have to be fast. more updates when we finally locate an internet cafe ... but for now, yes, we are still alive!

we stayed three nights in campagnano di roma, a bit north of rome. yesterday we biked to a train station near there, took it to rome, bike across rome to another train station, took a train to naples, bought a pizza, loved the food and hated the city, then took a subway to pompei. we stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast. today we biked up the volcano, then returned to the bed and breakfast. it took a while because the road to and from the volcano was terrible. tonight we are staying again in pompei and going to the amalfi coast tomorrow!
